Tomaso Vercellotti MD, DDS (March 1, 1954–Present) is an Italian Medical Doctor, Doctor of Dentistry and the inventor of the Piezosurgical procedure and Piezosurgery Device. Tomaso Vercellotti was born in Sassari Italy.
Dr. Vercellotti graduated Cum Laude and received an advanced degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Genova, Italy in 1979.
He is currently a visiting Professor at the University of Genova, Italy.
Dr. Vercellotti created the Piezosurgical device, a metal tip vibrates ultrasonically and cuts through bone tissue while leaving soft tissue un-harmed.
